Definition: | An inflammatory and granulomatous, dermatophytic infection that is classified into two forms, depending on the affected individualbs health situation and clinical picture. The first form is mainly observed in healthy individuals and is defined as a perifollicular, papular form induced by penetrating trauma that is mostly observed in the lower extremities. The second form is granulomatous, related to immunosuppression, seen in a nodular form, and usually appears on the upper extremities. |
